The Boat

Dave chose his boat very carefully and decided on a a 2001 - 18' Maverick Master Angler - Powered by a smooth running 130 hp Yamaha. The ultimate Technical Poling skiff. Light enough to easily pole in the shallow water and just heavy enough to offer a smooth dry ride for those choppy days or when stalking large tarpon on the offshore beaches!

The boat is fully equipped for fishing the shallow water. Dave also has installed twin 82 pound thrust Great White tolling motors to get you far up on the flat quickly, then for stealth, take over on the pole. The motors are equipped with air switches and can be controlled from the poling platform.

On the front of the boat is a carbon fiber casting platform, adding just enough height for perfect sight fishing for the angler. Of course there are live wells and a nice cooler and a dry storage compartment for your convenience.
